Abstract

          This research aimed to study 1) the motivation of operational staff, 2) their engagement, 3) the comparison of employee engagement based on personal factors, 4) the motivational factors influencing engagement, and 5) the supporting factors influencing engagement. A survey research design with quantitative methods was used to collect data from 200 operational employees working in unsecured loans at Kasikornbank Public Company Limited. A questionnaire was utilized as the research instrument; and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean, t-test, F-test (One-way ANOVA), and Multiple Regression Analysis.

           The findings showed that most respondents were female, aged 26-30, single, holding a bachelor's degree, with 6-10 years of work experience, and an average monthly income of 15,001-20,000 THB.

  1. Motivational factors: Employees prioritized job responsibilities, clarity, and task challenges, increasing their motivation.
  2. Employee engagement: Engagement was high, with most employees showing loyalty and a strong connection to the organization.
  3. Comparison of engagement: Marital status, work experience, and team affiliation significantly affected engagement. Employees with longer tenures in well-managed teams exhibited higher engagement.
  4. Motivational factors influencing engagement: Responsibility and task characteristics significantly affected engagement at the 0.05 level.
  5. Supporting factors influencing engagement: Opportunities for career advancement, relationships with supervisors, job status, and managerial practices significantly influenced engagement at the 0.05 level.
