This research article’s objectives were 1) to assess the needs and necessities of academic administration, and 2) to study guidelines for academic administration for enhancing the academic achievement of students at the Opportunity Expansion School. It was integrative research. The sample group consisted of 228 people, including 15 administrators, 213 teachers, and 10 experts for the interview. The research tools included questionnaires and interviews. Statistical instruments used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation.and content analysis.
1) Its need for enhancing the academic achievement of the students, arranged from the highest to lowest, was internal supervision, measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes, educational institution curriculum development, learning process, as well as innovative media and technology. 2) Its guidelines for enhancing the academic achievement of students at the Opportunity Expansion School namely should have the development of educational institution curricula. There should be a committee to create the curriculum including the basic education, needs of students, parents, and their communities. Also, these guidelines should have development of the learning process, assignment of teachers with their aptitudes and abilities to teach the subjects. There should be support budgets for teachers to procure media and to do research for learning developing in the measurement and evaluation of learning outcomes. Teachers should use a variety of tools to assess learning outcomes. The tools should be designed to be in line with the individual differences among students and consistent with the standards and indicators of each subject group by the Internal supervision. Educational administrators and academic departments should provide friendly supervision to help solve problems, assisting and encouraging the teachers. It also should provide an opportunity for teachers to exchange experiences with supervisors. The teachers should develop their competency and proficiency in the innovative media and technology, appropriate for their local context, varieties of students, and subject groups.
