Guidelines for Curriculum Management to Promote Students’ Vocational Skills at the Schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area in Loei Province

The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the current and desirable status of curriculum management to promote students’ vocational skills at the schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area in Loei province; 2) to study the curriculum management guidelines ; and 3) to assess their appropriateness and feasibility of guidelines for curriculum management to promote student’s vocational skills for schools under the Office of Secondary Educational Service Area in Loei Province. Mixed methods research was employed for this study. A sample consisted of 31 school administrators, 31 teachers of academic subdivision, and 256 teachers, totally 318 persons, and from 10 school administrators, directors of academic subdivision, teachers and supervisors with excellent practice. The study tools were questionnaires and interviews. The statistical instruments used for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation and Modified Priority Needs Index and descriptive statistics. Results were as follows.
1) The current status with all 4 sides respectively was lower than the average value of the existing situation. 2) The planning, checking needs, students’ability and labor demand should be checked first. The aspect of doing the teachers should teach the students in the classrooms and outside the classrooms. The aspect of checking the administrators must control and follow up with the supervision clearly. The aspect of action the teachers’opinions should be assessed continually in curriculum implementation. And, 3) at a high level.
