The Competency of School Administrators Affecting the Effectiveness of Small-sized Schools under the Office of Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area 1

This research aims to investigate: 1) the managerial competency level of school administrators, 2) the effectiveness level of small-sized schools, 3) the relationship between the managerial competency of school administrators and the effectiveness of small-sized schools, 4) to study the predictive power of the managerial competency of school administrators affecting the effectiveness of small-sized schools. The sample group consisted of school administrator and teachers in small-sized schools under the jurisdiction of the Nakhon Phanom Primary Educational Service Area Office, District 1, totaling 364 individuals. The research utilized questionnaires for data collection and analyzed the data using mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.
The research findings indicate that: 1) the overall managerial competency of school administrators is at the highest level, 2) the overall effectiveness of small-sized schools is at a high level, 3) there is a significantly positive relationship between the managerial competency of school administrators and the effectiveness of small-sized schools at a high level of significance of .01 (r = 0.735), 4) the managerial competency of school administrators in staff development (X5), service delivery (X3), communication and motivation (X8), and analysis and synthesis (X4) can significantly predict the effectiveness of small-sized schools (Y) at a statistical significance level of .01 with a prediction power of 64.60%.
