Abstract

          There were two objectives of this research: 1) to study the level of personnel development at the schools under the Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, and 2) to compare teachers' opinions on the personnel development, classified by gender, educational level, work experience, and size of the schools. Quantitative research was employed. The sample group included 291 people civil servant teachers under the Nakhon Sawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The research tool was a questionnaire. The statistics used were the percentage value each, mean and standard deviation values, t-test, F-test, and pairwise comparison using the LSD method.

           The results of the study revealed that 1) opinions on personnel development overall were at a high level. The area with the highest average was development for a position or academic position. Also, the aspect with the lowest average was promotion and support for continuing education. 2) There were gender differences, but the educational levels had impact on the promotion, with significant difference at the 0.01 level. The promotion of research and development practices were different at 0.05 level. In terms of work experience, it was found that development before appointment, promotion, support for further studies, promotion, support for training, with significant difference at the 0.01 level. As for the size of the educational institution, it was found that in terms of development before appointment, promotion, and support for continuing education, with the significant difference at the 0.01 level; and in terms of promotion, and the training support, with the significant difference at the 0.05 level.
