Performance Competency of Non-commissioned Officers, Wing 46 in Phitsanulok Province

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the performance of the non-commissioned officers at Wing 46 in Phitsanulok province, 2) to study the motivational factors affecting their work performance, and 3) to suggest guidelines for increasing their performance. A sample consisted of were 548 Wing 46 Data were collected by questionnaires, and analyzed through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation,t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Multiple regression analysis.
The results of the research showed that 1) the work performance of the non-commissioned officers at Wing 46 in Phitsanulok province was at the highest level ( = 4.21); 2) the Motivation factors affecting their performance were work success, respect, responsibility, and advancement in position with statistically significant at 0.05 level;
and 3) the guidelines for increasing their performance suggested that their commanders should be aware and give importance for providing welfare, promoting morale, giving authority to make decisions, and listening to the opinions of subordinates. The commanders should consider the nature of the work appropriate for their positions and duties, and create a plan impacting on their career advancement in the positions based on the specific indicators or qualifications.
