Abstract

          This research article had the objectives to study: 1) the conditions of the four administrative factors "4M's"; 2) the motivation of teachers and educational personnel; and 3) the factors affecting the motivation of teachers and educational personnel in working at the schools declared as special areas under the Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample group used in this research consisted of 198 government teachers and educational personnel, through the simple random sampling. The instrument employed in this research was a questionnaire. The confidence values were 0.729, 0.811, and 0.823, respectively. Statistical tools used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression.

            The results of the research showed that 1) the four factors affecting the overall school administration had average levels at a high level with a means of 4.38, and S.D of 0.47. 2) Overall, the motivation of teachers and educational personnel by the average level was at a high level with a means of 4.51 and S.D of 0.50. Also, 3) for the management factors of personnel (M1), management (M4), budget (M2), and materials (M3) significantly affecting the overall motivation of teachers and educational personnel () statistically at the .05 level, there were a multiple correlation coefficient for prediction of 0.741, a prediction efficiency of 74.1 percent, and a standard error of prediction of 0.861, written as a regression analysis equation as follows;

 = 1.349 + 0.264(M1) + 0.172(M4) + 0.164(M2) + 0.115(M3)
