Factors Affecting Burnout in the work of personnel College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University

The research article’s the objective were to study the levels of burnout at the workplace, the affecting factors, and their relationship among employees at the College of Arts, Media and Technology Chiang Mai University. The sample group used in the study included employees at the College of Arts, Media and Technology, responding to the questionnaire, a total of 117 people. The results were analyzed by calculating the percentage (Percentage), standard deviation (SD). Hypotheses were tested by analytical statistics (Independent Samples T-Test), One-way analysis of variance (One Way ANOVA) at a statistical significance value of sig < 0.05. The results of the study showed that most employees had the burnout at low level, 61 people, accounting for 52.14 percent, middle level, 11 people, accounting for 9.40 percent, and high level, 45 people, accounting for 38.46 percent. Factors, affecting the burnout from the work of the employees consisted of 1) quality of work life, 2) stability and advancement in work, 3) interpersonal relationships, 4) morale and support, and 5) management/leadership systems organization. Factors related to the burnout from the work consisted of quality of life at work, and morale. The morale factors were significantly related to emotional exhaustion with the significant values statistically, 0.001 and 0.021 respectively. Quality of work life factors were significantly related to ignorance with statistical significance of 0.001. The stability and advancement factor at work was statistically significant with the professional efficacy at the statistical value of 0.031.
