Digital Technology Skills Development of the Lamphun Juvenile and Family Court Staff

The purposes of this research article were to study; 1) working conditions using the digital technology for Juvenile and Family Court Staff; 2) the need for developing their digital technology skills in the Juvenile and Family Court online service system ; and 3) proposal of the guidelines for developing their digital technology skills in the digital transformation era. This was qualitative research. There were 17 key informants were from Lamphun Juvenile and Family Court Staff (Saaty, 2008), and a purposive selection was used. The qualifications were as follows: 1.status of a director level executive with working experiences for not less than 5 years; 2.an administrator with working experiences for not less than 3 years; and 3.an operator with working experiences for not less than 3 years. The instrument used in the research was an interview form. Data analysis was carried out by means of content analysis and descriptive analysis.
The result showed
- Using the digital system was convenient and fast. It was mainly used for copying judgments into automatic electronic files 24 hours a day; one of the services provided through the Court Integral Online Service.
- Designating civil servants of the Court of Justice, permanent employees, civil servants of the Court of Justice, and temporary employees under the Office of the Judiciary had to receive digital skills development on unlimited topics each fiscal year, not less than 20 hours per person per year. It was sufficient for operations.
- Guidelines for digital skills development includes a training in use and practice for personnel to have knowledge and understanding so that they are able to perform digital tasks efficiently.
