New Era Leaders: Management with Mind, Not Dictatorship

Abstract

          This article aims to study the characteristics of modern leaders in managing organizations to achieve success. Leaders are one factor driving drive an organization to progress and succeed They are able to cope with changes both at present and in the future. The leaders are important people for the organization because they are planning the directions and goals of the organizations. If the organizations have good leaders with quality and potentiality for managing people and changes until they can accomplish the organization’s planned goals. In the past, leaders alone held decision-making power There is a difference between the leaders at the present and in the past.  Today’s leaders choose to manage by heart; whereas, those in the past used the rules to command subordinates. Today’s leaders are using the principles of participatory management, and providing opportunities for workers to decide mutually, exchange opinions, and plan operations. Also, they are creating understanding, building morale, and supporting equal participation and equality. Moreover, they are managing taks with flexibility, according to various changing conditions, and leading the organization to succeed the established goals.

It may not have as good an effect as if the leader manages from the heart and to serve as a guideline for leaders. Executives apply knowledge to the organization to achieve success in management.
