Factors Associated with Academic Achievement in Health Science Course Group of Nursing Students

Abstract

          This research aimed to study: 1) factors associated with academic achievement in health science course group of nursing students, and 2) relationship between factors associated with their academic achievements. The sample size of 100 people consisted of the nursing students. The instrument was the questionnaire. The assessment included factors associated with their academic achievement. The statistics used in data analysis was percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s product moment correlation.

           The results showed that 1) factors associated with their academic achievements were at high level mean = 3.88 and standard deviation = 0.44 ; 2) their academic achievements were at the moderate level with the mean = 2.29 and standard deviation = 0.45; and 3) relationship between factors associated with their academic achievements was small positive condition with statistic significant (r= 0.228 , p<0.05).
