Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: 1.To study the problems and needs for participation in the early childhood education management at the small schools; 2.To study the community participatory management approach in the early childhood education management of small schools; and 3.To assess the suitability of community participatory management approaches in early childhood education management at the small schools in Ban Khok district under the Office of Uttaradit Primary Educational Service Area 2. The population used in the research was school administrators. There were 14 teachers working or acting in positions, 16 teachers, and 9 experts in charge of early childhood work. The research instruments were questionnaires, focus groups. Statistical tools used in data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. and content analysis.

           The research findings were as followings. 1.The condition of community participation in early childhood education management of small schools under the Uttaradit Educational Service Area Office 2: overall, each aspect was at a high level. 2.The community participatory management approach for the early childhood education management of small schools consisted of involvement with the community in planning, decision-making, action, evaluation, and receiving of mutual benefits. And 3.The suitability of community participatory management approaches for early childhood education management at the small schools in Ban Khok District under the Office of Uttaradit Primary Educational Service Area 2: overall, each aspect was at a high level.
