Approaches for Improving Educational Quality at the Schools Expanding Opportunities in the highlands under the Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

This research article aimed to study the needs and ways to improve the educational quality of the schools for opportunity expansion in the highlands under the Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The population consisted of 6 school administrators, 72 teachers, and 4 school presidents, totally 82 people. The target groups were 9 people, including 3 school administrators, 3 teachers, and 3 supervisors. The data collection tools were questionnaires and interview forms. Statistical tools used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, need priority index, and content analysis.
The results showed the followings.
- The needs for educational quality improvement for opportunity expansion of the schools in the highlands under the Phitsanulok Primary Educational Service Area Office, Region 3, with all 5 aspects ranked in descending order, included teacher development, curriculum development, educational quality assurance, learning management, and participation in education management.
- Guidelines for improving their quality of education consisted of teacher development, educational institutions with opportunity provision for teachers in exchanges of experiences and knowledge, curriculum development, data-based curriculum improvement educational quality assurance, need-based quality standard, student research supporting learning management, and community participations in learning activities.
