Relationship between Result-based Goals, Work Engagement and Performance of the Teachers at Chiang Rai Municipality Schools

This research aimed to study the relationship between result-based goals, work engagement, and performance of the teachers at Chiang Rai municipality schools. The sample size of 175 people consisted of teachers with more than 1 year of working experiences at the Chiang Rai municipality schools. The research instruments were questionnaires of general information, result-based goals, work engagement, and teacher performance with the reliability at 0.96, 0.97 and 0.96 respectively. The statistical instrumentals used in data analysis were: percentage (%), mean (), standard deviation (S.D.), and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
The results showed that 1) the result-based goals of the teacher at Chiang Rai municipality schools, as a whole and on all aspects, were at high level; 2) their work engagements as a whole and on all aspects, were at high level; 3) their performance as a whole and on all aspects, was at high level; and 4) the result-based goals had a positive correlation at high level with the work engagement significant at the 0.01 level. The result-based goals had a positive correlation at high level with their performance significant at the 0.01 level; and the work engagement had a positive correlation at high level with their performance significant at the 0.01 level.
