The purpose of this study were to examine the factors of workplace decision making (WFA) and investigate the impact of Work From Anywhere (WFA) on work efficiency, by using survey research methodology and utilizing questionnaires as a data collection tool. In this research, a total of 64 individuals from a private company, eligible for the WFA policy, were included. Statistical analysis techniques, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, were employed. Additionally, inferential statistics, such as the F-test at a statistical significance level of 0.05, was utilized for hypothesis testing.
The study revealed that even though a home was a preferred place for individuals to sit and work, it was not the most commonly chosen location. The workplace or office was identified as the primary choice for people to sit and work, typically for 3-4 days a week, accounting for 54.90 percent. When examining the factors influencing work efficiency, it was found that the working environment, including physical aspects such as light/color, sound, and smell, significantly impacted performance in all three aspects: workload, errors, and time spent on work. Furthermore, elements of relationships with supervisors, subordinates, and colleagues had an effect on performance in terms of workload and mistakes. Family-related factors and travel expenses solely influenced performance in terms of throughput. Surprisingly, travel time, despite being the most influential factor in choosing a workplace, neither impacted efficiency nor facilities.
