A Study of the Relationship of Strategic Leadership of School Administrators and Effectiveness of Small Schools under the Mukdahan Primary Educational Service Area Office

This research aims to 1) to study the components of strategic leadership of school administrators; 2)to study the level of strategic leadership of administrators and school effectiveness;3) to study the relationship between strategic leadership of school administrators and school effectiveness; and 4) to study the approaches for developing strategic leadership of school administrators at small schools. There were three phases of implementation:
1. studying of the strategic leadership of administrators and the components of school effectiveness; 2. studying the relationship between the strategic leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of small schools; 3. studying the development guidelines for Strategic leadership of school administrators at the small schools. The sample group of 310 people had a precision between 0.60 - 1.00, a confidence value of 0.67, and a discrimination power between 0.63 - 0.74, and a confidence value by the alpha coefficient method at 0.91.
The results showed as following
- The elements of strategic leadership of school administrators consisted of three main aspects: 1. strategic planning, 2. strategic implementation and 3. strategic follow-up and evaluation
- The level of strategic leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of small schools overall was at the highest level ( x= 4.53) and ( x= 4.56).
- The relationship between the strategic leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of small schools overall ( x=0.729) had a high positive correlation. with statistical significance at the .01 level.
- The guidelines for developing strategic leadership includes three areas namely strategic planning It is appropriate at the highest level ( x= 4.76). was at the highest level ( x= 4.64). The strategy implementation aspect was appropriate at the highest level ( x= 4.92). was at the highest level ( x= 4.80). The strategy implementation aspect was appropriate at the highest level ( x= 4.92). is at the highest level ( x=4.88).
