Voters’ Decisions in the Bangkok Metropolitan Councilor (BMC) Election from Pheu Thai Party in 2022

The research’s objectives were: 1) to compare personal factors and voters' decisions in the Bangkok Metropolitan Councilor (BMC) election from Pheu Thai Party in 2022; 2) to study factors related to voters' decisions in the Bangkok Metropolitan Councilor (BMC) election from Pheu Thai Party in 2022; and 3) to suggest ways to promote the exercise of the rights in BMC election. The research employed a quantitative research methodology. The population and the sample were residents with their names in the Bangkok household registration in Bangkapi, Wang Thonglang, Dusit and Thonburi districts, and aged 18 years old and over. The research utilized an accidental sampling method to collect a sample of 400 members. A research tool was questionnaires. The result showed as followed. 1) The differences in sex and economic status were related to difference in the voters' decisions in the BMC election from Pheu Thai Party in 2022 at the statistical level of significance of 0.00, according to the assumptions, while age and occupation factors were not related to difference in voters' decisions in the BMC election from Pheu Thai Party in 2022 at the statistical level of significance of .05, not according to the assumptions. 2) The environmental factors, including political communication and marketing, were correlated with the BMC election decision of Pheu Thai Party in 2022 at the statistical significance level of 0.00, in accordance with the assumptions. 3) It was necessary for candidates to use appropriate media for election campaigns and target voters in the election.
