Application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) In the selection of frozen freight forwarders: a case study of Mali ice cream Store

This research aims to investigate the factors and criteria for selecting the freight forwarders of frozen products. The case study is the Mali Ice Cream Store. Through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), the factors used in the criteria were the price, service, quality, delivery, reliability, and safety. After the factors were determined, a questionnaire was created to measure an index of item-objective congruence (IOC) from three experts. The IOC value of this research was 1.000, before the questionnaire was used to gather data from five key informants. Subsequently, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to select freight forwarders of frozen products. The results revealed that the company with the highest weight of importance value was Inter Express company with 0.395 or 39.51%. The second highest was Deliveree company with 0.319 or 31.91%; and the third highest was JWD company with 0.285 or 28.53%.
