The Satisfaction Level of Thai Tourists towards Management at Sala Loi Temple in Nakhon Ratchasima Province during the Spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Promoting Buddhist tourism or temple tours is an approach for satisfaction creation, and can make visitors confident in tourism during the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak: in preparation for opening the country and stimulating provincial economy. The objectives of this research article are: 1) to measure the level of satisfaction, and 2) to compare the satisfaction of Thai tourists visiting Wat Sala Loi, Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. The sample group was classified by demographic characteristics: the Thai tourists aged over 20 years old and not living in Nakhon Ratchasima. The researcher used the accidental sampling technic with 400 questionnaires. The statistical data analyses were percentage, mean, standard deviation, as well as independent samples t-test and F-test/ANOVA; the least significant difference (LSD) statistics was used to test the paired sample differences. The results showed that the satisfaction of the Thai tourists visiting Sala Loi Temple during the Covid-19 outbreak was at a high level. In consideration of each aspect, it was found that the tourists were interested in and satisfied with the ancient sites and historical vestiges, followed by religious activities and ceremonies in the temple; on the other hand, the traveling and direction sign were the last aspect. The results of differences in all aspects revealed that the tourists with different demographic characteristics had disparate levels of satisfaction in Wat Sala Loi visits with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
