ICC is crucial for working in hospitality settings, especially when interacting with international guests. A questionnaire was designed to measure ICC in four dimensions: attitudes, knowledge, skills, and critical cultural awareness. The questionnaire was administered online through Google Forms to 31 purposively selected undergraduate internship students who had direct interaction with foreign guests during their internships in hospitality enterprises. The results revealed that the internship students in the study have a low level of ICC, particularly in the attitudinal dimension. They were also found to have limited knowledge regarding processes of social interaction at both individual and societal levels. However, the results showed that the students demonstrate a high level of adaptability skills and critical cultural awareness. The findings are valuable for designing courses aimed at enhancing students’ ICC, enabling them to gain greater benefits from their internships and better preparing them to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds after graduation.</p> Natthicha Chansri Sucharat Rimkeeratikul Copyright (c) 2026 Natthicha Chansri, Sucharat Rimkeeratikul http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-06-07 2026-06-07 20 2 1 15 The Effect of Internal Control on Profitability of Listed Company in Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET): A Focus on the Construction Services Sector https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/trujournal/article/view/297251 <p>This study evaluates the effectiveness of internal control systems and their influence on profitability within the construction services sector listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand during the period 2020–2024. The analysis is grounded in the COSO framework and encompasses 27 companies over a five-year timeframe. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis reveal that construction companies demonstrate high internal control implementation levels, however, faced significant profitability challenges during the study period, reflecting the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain disruptions, and economic volatility. The most significant finding is that Monitoring Activities emerged as the critical determinant of profitability, showing statistically significant positive associations with GPM. Other COSO components showed no significant direct associations with profitability, suggesting these foundational components may influence performance through indirect pathways.</p> Yin-Tzu Lo Suna Sudhikiat Rujirat Paleephatsakul Copyright (c) 2026 Yin-Tzu Lo http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2026-06-07 2026-06-07 20 2 16 25 Development Process of a Fuel and Energy Board Game for Industrial Technician https://so03.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/trujournal/article/view/297238 <p>This research aimed to: 1) synthesize and evaluate the development process of a fuel and energy board game for Industrial Technician, and 2) develop and evaluate a fuel and energy board game for Industrial Technician.
