Factors Influencing the Decision to Vote in the Thanyaburi Subdistrict Municipality Mayoral Election in Pathum Thani Province

The objectives of this research article were to: 1) examine the levels of public information perception and candidates' strategic management factors regarding the mayoral election of Thanyaburi subdistrict municipality, Pathum Thani province, and 2) investigate the influence of public information perception and candidates' strategic management factors on the decision to exercise voting rights in the mayoral election. This study employed a quantitative research methodology, utilizing questionnaires as the primary instrument for data collection. The population consisted of eligible voters residing in Thanyaburi subdistrict municipality, Pathum Thani province. A sample size of 400 respondents was selected using the accidental sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics via Multiple Regression Analysis.
The findings revealed that, overall, the public information perception factors influencing voting in the mayoral election were at a high level. Similarly, the candidate strategic management factors influencing voting in the Thanyaburi subdistrict municipality mayoral election were also at a high level. 2) The overall decision to vote in the Thanyaburi subdistrict municipality mayoral election was found to be at a high level. Hypothesis testing indicated that both public information perception factors and candidate strategic management factors significantly influenced the decision to vote the mayoral election in Pathum Thani province.
