Abstract

          The objectives of this research aimed to: (1) compare the employees’ work performance classified by personal factors; (2) study motivation on employees’ work performance; and (3) study working environment on employees’ work performance at the Bangkok Area Revenue Office 26. This study was a quantitative research design. The sample included 123 employees of the Bangkok Area Revenue Office 26. Data analysis was conducted using t-test, F-test, and multiple regression analysis.

           The findings of the study revealed that: (1) the employees of the Bangkok Area Revenue Office 26 with different marital statuses and job levels showed significant differences in their overall work performance, whereas their different genders, ages, educational levels, and average monthly incomes did not show significant differences in overall work performance; (2) their motivation in terms of achievement and the nature of work significantly affected the work performance, whereas their motivation related to recognition, salary, and fringe benefits did not have a crucial effect; and (3) the working environment in terms of safety and security significantly influenced their performance, whereas the physical and social work environments did not have a crucial effect.
