Awareness of Longan Farmers' Health, a case study of Namdip Subdistrict, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province

This research aimed to: 1) study the level of health awareness among longan farmers; 2) compare health awareness among longan farmers classified by individual factors; and 3) examine the relationship between health knowledge, chemical use, and social support with health awareness among longan farmers in Nam Dip Subdistrict, Pa Sang District, Lamphun Province. This quantitative study involved a sample of 346 participants. Data were collected using questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze data. Individual characteristics were tested for differences using t-tests and F-tests, and correlations were tested using Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient.
The results revealed: 1) overall health awareness was the highest level, with an average value of (x̄ = 4.38). 2) Overall personal factors did not differ significantly from farmers' health awareness levels, except for underlying diseases, showing significant differences in mental health awareness at the .05 level. 3) There was no relationship between health knowledge, chemical use, and overall social support and health awareness among farmers. Except for knowledge of pesticide use and family support, which were significantly associated with farmers’ overall health awareness at the .01 and .001 levels, respectively.
