Guidelines for Creating an Internal Teaching Supervision Network of Schools under Local Administrative Organizations Uttaradit Province

Abstract

          This research article aimed to 1. study the needs and 2. find ways to create a network for internal teaching supervision at the schools under the local administrative organizations in Uttaradit Province. A mixed research method was used, including quantitative, survey research, and qualitative field research. The sample group used in the research was 174 teachers and school administrators, using simple random sampling, and 9 experts who provided important information, using purposive selection. The research tools were questionnaires and interviews. Statistics used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, the Needs Index (PNI), and content analysis.

           The research results found that:

  1. The results of the study of essential needs, arranged in order of the essential needs index, were: teaching supervision operations, expansion, information, problems and needs, teaching supervision evaluation, and teaching planning, respectively.
  2. The results of finding a way to create a network for internal teaching supervision in schools under the local administrative organization of Uttaradit Province found that in terms of information, problems and needs, a meeting should be held to find academic mentors to jointly create a form for recording reflections. In terms of planning for the teaching supervision, a meeting should be held to prepare before observing the classroom, and a manual for performing duties should be prepared. In terms of teaching supervision operations, an academic forum should be organized to showcase the achievements of supervision by inviting external agencies to join the teaching supervision committee and awarding honorary prizes. In terms of evaluating teaching supervision results, the professional learning community process should be used and evidence of supervision should be collected in various forms. And in terms of expansion, the results of teaching supervision should be published and the reflections should be used to develop the supervision process.
