The Policy of Community Environment Management at Khaokaew Subdistrict, Municipalcity Chiangkan District, Loei Province

Abstract

          The purposes of this research article were :  1) to study the policy of environmental management at the Khao Kaeo Sub-district Municipality, Chiang Khan District, Loie Province, 2) to study the relationship between personal factors on the policy of environmental management of Khao Kaeo Sub-district Municipality and 3) to study the recommendations on the environmental management.  This study was quantitative with a sample of 70 participants.  The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, and Chi-square. The findings were as follows:

           1) The Community environmental management policy showed that officers and employees of Khao Kaeo Sub-district Municipality, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, overall, had policy compliance at a moderate level.

           2) The relationship between community environmental management policy classified by gender, age, position, and income has no relationship with community environmental management policy.  However, the level of education was related to the community environmental management policy at. the Khao Kaeo Sub-district Municipality, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province.

           3) Recommendations on environmental management at the Khao Kaeo Sub-district Municipality Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, showed that the respondents made suggestions regarding the community environmental management policy of Khao Kaeo Sub-district Municipality, Chiang Khan District, Loei Province, ranked from most to least frequently as follows:

               3.1 People still lack awareness of preserving and conserving the environment.

               3.2 People are not informed by the authorities.

               3.3 There should be a plan for allocating annual budgets, increasing the proportion of budget allocation, and prioritizing community environmental issues.
