Abstract

          The study was quantitative research. The objectives of this research were to study:
1) the school administrators under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province; 2) the effectiveness of the schools under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province; and 3) the school administrators affecting the effectiveness of the public educational institutions under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province. A sample group consisted of 260 people under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province, using Stratified Random Sampling method. The research instrument was a questionnaire about the school administrators and the effectiveness of the schools. Data analyses were processed by these statistical tools: mean, standard deviation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis.

          The findings were: 1) the level of the school administrators under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province, overall was at the high (mean = 4.18, standard deviation = 0.530). 2) The level of the effectiveness of the schools under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province overall was at the high (mean = 4.15, standard deviation = 0.479). Also, 3) The school administrators from academic department (X4), student affairs development (X3), and resource management department (X1) affected the effectiveness of public educational institutions under the vocational institutions in Chiang Rai province, with the statistical significant (equationtot ) at .01, and the multiple correlation coefficient at 0.862, then, the forecasting equations ability at 74.3, and the standard error of estimate at 0.23369. The results were analyzed and written as a simple regression below.
