Abstract

          The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the condition and problems of human resource management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bangkok and its vicinity, and 2) to study the effectiveness of human resource management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bangkok and its vicinity. It used a quantitative research approach. Sample consisted of 400 SMEs; statistics used in the research was frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, One Way ANOVA.

           The Results showed that: 1) the condition and problems of human resource management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bangkok and its vicinity were at a high level. With consideration of each aspect, it showed that the aspect with the highest average value was human resource development and the aspect with the lowest average value was the information system for human resource management. When looking at With consideration of each side, it revealed that the aspect with the highest average value was the financial perspective and the side with the lowest average value was the internal process perspective

           The results of the hypothesis test showed that there were different factors of individuality, gender, age, education level, and income. There were opinions on the condition and problems of human resource management of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Bangkok Metropolitan area and its vicinity. There was statistically significant difference at a level of 0.05 for different personal, gender, age, education level, income and length of employment. There were opinions on the effectiveness of human resource management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Bangkok Metropolitan area and its icinity.
