The instrument used was a questionnaire with a 5-level rating scale on the role of participation of the school board and academic administration of the school. The statistical tools used in the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.
The results of the research found that the role of participation of the school board was at a high level ( = 4.20, SD. = 0.45); academic administration of the school was at a high level (
= 4.41, SD. = 0.42); and the role of participation of the school board from all 4 aspects, consisting of 3 variables: participation in evaluation (X4), participation in benefits (X3), and participation in decision-making (X1), affected academic administration of the school. At the statistical significance level of 0.01, it was able to predict 53.30 percent of the variance, written as the forecasting equation as following:
Raw Score Equation = 2.032 + 0.276 (X4) + 0.150 (X3) + 0.143 (X1)
Standard Score Equation = 0.428 (X4) + 0.237 (X3) + 0.195 (X1)
