People’s Participation in Local Government Public Policy Implementation: Case Study of YokKrabat Sub-district Administrative Organization, Sam Ngao District, Tak Province

This research aimed: 1) to study the level of public participation in driving public policy of local administrative organizations, 2) to compare public participation in driving public policy of local administrative organizations, classified by personal factors, and 3) to study public suggestions on the public policy of local administrative organizations. The research employed quantitative methods. The researcher distributed questionnaires to 381 residents aged 18 and over, registered in the jurisdiction of the Yokkrabat Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngao District, Tak Province. The data were then analyzed using statistics, including percentage, mean, t-test, and f-test. The results of the study found that:
- The overall opinion level of public participation in driving public policy of local administrative organizations was at the highest level, with the aspect of participation in evaluation receiving the highest opinion level.
- For the comparison of public participation in driving public policy of local administrative organizations, classified by personal factors, it was found that age and status of the public were related to the opinion level on driving public policy of local administrative organizations in the Yokkrabat Subdistrict, Sam Ngao District, Tak Province.
3. Public suggestions on the public policy of local administrative organizations were that there should be inquiries into the needs of the public for the formulation of various projects and activities. The public should participate in determining development guidelines and problem-solving, and in ensuring transparency in administration
