Cultural Attraction Map of Pak Nam Pho, Nakhon Sawan Province Area

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were: 1. to study Cultural Attractions in Pak Nam Pho subdistrict Nakhon Sawan province. 2. to make a cultural attraction map of this subdistrict. It was qualitative research by the participatory action. The sample of this study consisted of six members from government agencies and private sector group, and 20 community representatives. The sample members were selected through a purposive sampling technique. The in-depth interviews were employed. There were a meeting of community representatives, area surveys, analyses, classifications, conclusions, and cultural attraction mapping.

           The result showed the following. 1) List of cultural attractions in Pak Nam Pho subdistrict had a total of 24 programs, classified as cultural attractions with 10 programs in the culture and tradition category, 13 programs in the historical category, and 1 program in the community category. 2) The cultural attraction map, in Pak Nam Pho subdistrict, Nakhon Sawan province, resulted from the cooperation of 3 main partners: government agencies, private sector, and community groups.
