Behavior of Thai Tourists in Creative Tourism in Surin Province

This research aimed to 1) study the behavior of Thai tourists in creative tourism in Surin province and 2) study the relationship between demographic characteristics and their behavior. The quantitative research used a questionnaire for collecting data from 400 Thai visitors in four districts of Surin province: Mueang, Tha Tum, Samrong Thap and Khwao Sinarin. Data were analyzed by frequency and percentage; the hypothesis was tested by the Chi-square with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
The results showed that: 1) most tourists with their friends and/or colleagues visiting Surin province for relaxation spent 1-2 days on traveling and used a private car for the trip. The expenses for traveling in province did not exceed 2,000 baht. Traveling in Surin province was their first time. 2) The hypothesis testing concluded that age, occupation, monthly income, highest education, and status, except the gender, correlated to Surin tourists' behavior.
