Roles and Duties for Local Development of Sub-district Headmen and Village Headmen in Nakae District Nakhon, Phanom Province

Abstract

         The objectives of this study were: (1) to study the level of roles and duties for the local development of sub-district headmen and village headmen in Nakae District, Nakhon Phanom Province, and (2) to compare them. It was quantitative research classified by age, educational level, and length of tenure by studying from population. The sample consisted of 124 sub-district headmen and village headmen in Nakae District, Nakhon Phanom Province. The instrument used for data collection was a reliable questionnaire; and statistical tools used for data analysis were mean, frequency, standard deviation, percentage, one-way analysis of variance.  The results showed that (1) the level of roles and duties for the local development of sub-district headmen and village headmen in Nakae District, Nakhon Phanom Province was at a high level. (2) Comparison of their roles and duties, classified by personal factors, overall and each aspect, was significantly different at the .05 level.
