Application of Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in Bangrakam Model Area, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in the Bangrakam Model area, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province; 2) to study personal factors affecting the application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy in the Bangrakam Model Area, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province; and  3) to study suggestion guidelines for applying the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to practice in the Bangrakam Model area, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province. It was quantitative research. There were 394 people in sample group. The research tool was a questionnaire using data obtained from the research tool. It was analyzed in descriptive statistics. The research results could be summarized as the following.1) The level of implementation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, in the Bangrakam Model area, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province, overall was at a high level. The average was 3.76. 2) Personal factors affecting its were occupations, educational qualifications, age, average income and the residential subdistrict. Their relationship was significantly different at the 0.05 level. Personal factors affecting its was length of residence. The Sufficiency Economy Philosophy has been applied in the Bangrakam Model area, Bangrakam District, Phitsanulok Province. Their relationship was not significantly different at the 0.05 level. 3) The suggestion issue was that the people in the area still did not have enough income to cover expenses. It was necessary to receive relief from the government because receiving water in the Banrakam area resulted in the decrease income in agriculture (rice cultivation); therefore, receiving knowledge and support from the government and private sectors would be a great assistance for the people.
