Abstract

          This research aimed to analyze changes of Thai society reflected in seventeen novels awarded or being finalists of the 2018 and 2021 S.E.A. Write Awards. Through the use of qualitative research methods in the novel script analysis. Research findings were reported as a descriptive analysis.

          The research observed three aspects of Thai social changes, as the following. 1) Ways of life: the entrepreneurs showed concerns on health of employees by providing more recreation and working out areas; technologies were widely used in work places for increasing efficiency; modern materials were more used in rural residences, relating to the financial status; occupations were changed along with the capitalist and marketing systems; productivities were increased by using of technologies. 2) Human relationships, both between family members and general people, communicative technologies were normally used creating the better relationships. 3) Changes of social: economic, vocational and educational systems, technologies were important factors moving all systems and increasing progress and competitiveness. As a result for surviving, modern Thai people have to adjust themselves along with the changing society.
