Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to study the business environment of healthcare service providers, and strategies to enhance the competitiveness of private healthcare service providers in Chiang Mai province, as well as the factors that may influence the educational aspirations of students pursuing a curriculum related to the management of private healthcare service providers in Chiang Mai province. For the quantitative research part, the sample group used in the research consisted of 400 students studying in grade 12 in Chiang Mai province under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Chiang Mai. Data collection was conducted conveniently through an online system using Google Forms as a research tool. Statistical analysis methods used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, logistic regression analysis.

           The research findings showed that the factors contributing to the desire for further education among students pursuing a curriculum related to the management of private healthcare support businesses in Chiang Mai were as follows: The average value of individual learners was high, with a mean of 4.12 and S.D.= 0.618. The average value of family factors was high, with a mean of 3.76 and S.D.= 0.661. The average value of social factors was high, with a mean of 3.59 and S.D.= 0.878. The average value of environmental factors was high, with a mean of 4.05 and S.D.= 0.697. The average value of learning outcomes was high, with a mean of 3.97 and S.D.= 0.741. The analysis of the relationship was done by the logistic regression model, with the use of ready-made software. There were two factors significantly influencing on the desire for further education among students intending to pursue a curriculum related to the management of private healthcare support businesses in Chiang Mai: (1) family factors and (2) social factors.
