The Roles of School Administrators in Internal Supervision of Schools under Local Administrative Organizations in Uttaradit Province

This research article had the objective to study the needs and roles of school administrators in internal supervision at schools under the local government organization. Uttaradit province. The population consisted of 13 school administrators, 546 teachers, totally 559 people. A sample group was included 13 school administrators and 224 teachers, a total of 237 people. The target group of 9 people consisted of 3 school administrators, 3 supervisors, 2 academic teachers, and 1 faculty member. The research tools were questionnaires and interviews. Statistical instruments used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, need priority index values and content analysis.
Results showed the followings.
- The needs priority for the internal supervision of schools under the local administrative organization in Uttaradit province, all 4 areas in descending order, namely was evaluation and internal supervision reports, internal supervision planning, compliance with internal supervision plans, and needs for internal supervision.
- Roles of school administrators, in internal supervision of schools under local administrative organizations in Uttaradit province, consisted of the needs of internal supervision, based on the studies of the current context problems and needs both inside and outside educational institutions, internal supervision planning, preparations of a supervision calendar wish operational procedure targets, compliance with internal supervision plans. Creations of mutual-understanding between the supervisor and the person receiving the supervision and conduct the supervision, making the supervision evaluation and internal reports, and presentation of internal supervision reports with relevant people.
