Guidelines for the Management of Child Development Centers In Song Khwae District, Nan Province

This research article aims to study the needs and management guidelines of the child development centers in Song Khwae District, Nan Province. The population used in phase 1 consisted of three chief executives of local administrations, three directors of government agencies, one director of the education division, and three educators, twenty-eight heads and teachers of the child development center, and thirty representatives of the child development centers’ executive committees, totaling 68 people. The target group in phase 2 included two directors of government agencies, two directors of the education division, two heads of the child development centers, two chaipersons of the child development centers’ executive committees, and one local person, totally 9 people. The tools used in the research were questionnaire and interview form. Statistical instruments used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, priority needs index, and content analysis.
The results showed that the priority needs for the management of the centers were safety environment, participation and networking establishment, academic activities based on the systematic management of the curriculum respectively. For the sake of the center management, it consisted of 5 aspects: systematic management of information and planning in education development personnel management for trainings and teamwork building; academic activities according to the curriculum; preparation of educational curriculum and projects, in terms of providing a safe environment; safety inspection of the playgrounds and a protection system for the protect inside and outside people; participation and networking, supporting from all sectors for various activities developing the quality of children.
