The Attitude of People toward the Management Policy of Community Garbage in Mueang District, Samut Sakhon Province

Abstract

          This research article aimed: 1) to study the level of successful factors of local government management; 2) to study the level of the attitude of people toward the management policy of community garbage in Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province; 3) to compare demographic factors and the attitude of people toward the management policy of community garbage in Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province; and 4) to study the relationship between the successful factors of local government management and the attitude of people toward the management policy of community garbage in Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province. This study used a quantitative research methodology. The population and samples were residents with their names in Samut Sakhon province’s household registration. The research utilized an accidental sampling method to collect data from 400 members, using a questionnaire. The statistical tools were percentage, Means, S.D., t-test, F-test, and Pearson’s Moment Product Correlation.

           The results were as follows:

1. Over all successful factors of local government management were moderate.
2. The attitude of people toward the management policy of community garbage in Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province was moderate.
3. The different demographic factors such as gender, age, occupation, family’s income, and amount of family member had the same level of the attitude of people toward the management policy of community garbage in Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
4. The successful factors of local government management related to the attitude of people toward the management policy of community garbage in Mueang district, Samut Sakhon province were at the statistical significance level of 0.05.
