Effectiveness of Policy Implementation to Support Thai Drama Production in Entertainment Industry

Abstract

          This research aimed 1.to study the environment in terms of obstacles and strengths in the Thai drama production business. 2.to study the effectiveness of the government policy for supporting Thai drama production business, based on attitudes of persons in the entertainment industry; and 3.to suggest policy directions for the development of the Thai drama business. It was qualitative research. The study sample consisted of 10 people. The interview was used to collect data. The research found that the problems and obstacles in the Thai drama production business were the lack of budget support from government agencies: the producers wanted the government for supporting the budget, so that the Thai drama productions would be the most efficient and perfect global presence in the Asian market as Asia's leading producers, and also have creative and strong foundation of the best productions.
