Developing Effectiveness Strategies upon New Public Management at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

          This purposed of this research were: 1) to study the level of effectiveness of the new public management of at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima province; 2) to create a strategy for developing the effectiveness of the new public management at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima province; and 3) to evaluate the development of the effectiveness of the new public management of at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima province. It was a mixed research, the sample group of quantitative research was the 400 people and the sample group of qualitative research was the 38 people. The research instrument of quantitative research was the questionnaire and the research instrument of qualitative research was Focus Group. The quantitative data analysis statistics were the frequency percentage mean standard deviation and the qualitative data analysis by the content analysis method.

           The results of the research were found as below.

1. The effectiveness of the new public management approach at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima province overall was at a high level. The mean was sorted from highest to lowest as follows: internal process, organizational development, operational results, capability in satisfactory creations, as well as resource procurement and allocations.
2. The strategies for developing the effectiveness of the new public management at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima province were proposed for is the internal process, organization development, improvement of the operational outcomes, capabilities in satisfactory creations, as well as resource procurement and allocations.
3. The results of the evaluation of strategies to for developing the effectiveness of the new public management approach at the sub-district municipalities in Nakhon Ratchasima province were appropriate and ranked in order of importance: resource procurement and allocations, capabilities in satisfactory creations, and improvement of the operational outcomes.
