Abstract

     This research article aimed to study the problems and needs of the internal quality assurance operation at the Nan Provincial Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education; to develop an implementation manual for the internal quality assurance; and to assess the operation manual suitability of the internal quality assurance The research population of 340 people consisted of administrators teachers and educational personnel at the Nan Provincial Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education. A simple random sampling was a group of 181 people. The research tools were a questionnaire on conditions, problems and needs for the internal quality assurance implementation a structured interview form and the appropriate form of the operation manual of the internal quality assurance. The statistical methods used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

           The results of the research showed below.

  1. The problem conditions and requirements for the internal quality assurance operations at the Nan Provincial Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education were at the highest level. With consideration of each aspect, the problems in the internal quality assurance operation were at the highest level, including self-assessment reporting in the preparation of educational development plans, and the educational standard setting for educational institutions. The demand level for the internal quality assurance operations was at the highest level, including the preparation of educational development plans in the educational standard setting for the educational institutions and self-assessment reporting.
  2. The manual development of the internal quality assurance operation consisted of 4 parts: (1) introduction; (2) internal quality assurance operation; (3) standards for the non-formal and formal education; (4) appendix.
  3. The assessment of the suitability of the internal quality assurance operation manual was at a high level.
