Abstract

This research article aimed to study the problems and needs of learning resource management, creating a learning resource management manual and quantitative assessment of the appropriateness of the learning resource management manual. As a population, there were 30 employees, including 8 specialists, working at the centers in the border areas of Uttaradit. It studied 4 aspects: planning, operation, assessment, and improvement. The statistical tools used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation. Content analysis from the in-depth interviews was used to create a manual of the learning resource management. Also, an assessment of the data for its use appropriateness was analyzed through the statistical tools (percentage, mean, and standard deviation).

           The results showed that

1.The problem of management of learning resources was overall at a high level. There were many problems in every aspect: in an orderly ranking, improvement, planning, assessment, and operation.

2.The needs for learning resource management, as a whole, had the high levels of problems in all aspects. With consideration of each aspect, it was listed in order of the needs: the improvement, assessment, operation, and planning.

3.The manual consisted of 4 chapters: 1. Introduction 2. Context 3.Learning Resource Management and 4. Satisfaction Assessment Form.

4.Assessment for appropriateness was at a high level. With consideration of each aspect, the manual’s utilization, page making, and contents were the most average.
