Abstract

     The objective of this research was to extract good practice lessons at the standalone small schools in highlands. under the Sukhothai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2.  The self-sustainable small schools were using DLTV media, and their communities were participating in educational management. Those four schools were: Maesan Samakkhi school, Ban Maesan school, Ban Pong Teenang school, and Ban Huai Yuak school. The research tools were structured interview and group discussion. The statistics used for data analysis were interview validity and content analysis.

           The results showed that the lessons learned from good practices at the self-sustainable small schools consisted of teaching and learning management by DLTV media use. The participants in the education management were the school directors in charge of DLTV media use in instructions, students, parents, and basic education committee. The engagements in management of the media use were: 1) participation in thinking, 2) participation in planning, 3) participation in acting, and 4) participation in the follow-up and evaluation.
