Skills Needed by Government Workers in The Future World

Abstract

This academic article aims to study guidelines for developing the necessary skills of government personnel readiness for coping with future changes, by using the method of studying documents: academic and research articles and related books. However, working together at government agencies is inevitable to meet workers of various ages. At government agencies there are workers with various generations and problems caused probably by not understanding each other due to the inter-generations. Their age differences must have influences of behaviors, thoughts, attitudes, knowledge, abilities, values, working methods, and different styles of management. As a result, it may have a negative effect on multi-age workers who have to adjust to new dynamics, as well as various skills. Indeed, they at some stages of life are unable to adapt and cope with the development of new skills for the changing situations in a timely manner. This academic paper presents the skills necessary for future government workers to adapt, make self-reflections and strategic adjustments with the change values. Normally, human beings are learning throughout their lives: applying the aforementioned knowledge for the development of selfness, organization, and nation.
