Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the efficient cost management and return on investment from cricket production: smart board boxes used by the community enterprise of the cricket breeders at Nong Phra Sub-district, Wang Thong District, Phitsanulok Province. In this current study, a structured interview was used as the tool for data collection from the specific sampling group; and the gathered information was analyzed for identifying cost and return on investment. The findings were the following. 1) The cost of cricket production using smart board boxes per cycle time was equal to 1,915.40 baht a box as a component of direct material which was 970 baht a box; the direct labor was 600 baht a box; and manufacturing overhead was 345.40 baht a box. 2) The return on investment from cricket production using smart board boxes per cycle time had total gross profit equal to 204.60 baht a box; the gross profits from retail and wholesale were equal to 145.38 baht and 59.22 baht a box, respectively. 3) Based on the efficiency of cost management and return on investment from cricket production using the smart board boxes analysis of the 5-year project, the results demonstrated that the payback period was 7.71 months; the net present value was 24,861.92 bath; and the internal rate of return on investment was 158.73%.
