Abstract

          The research of effectiveness of community-based tourism enterprise management during the crisis aimed at analyzing the factors influencing the effectiveness of community-based tourism enterprise management during the crisis, and guidelines for developing the effectiveness of community-based tourism enterprise management during the crisis. The researcher used a mixed-method approach for studying four community-based enterprises.

          The results of the study found as follows.

          The effectiveness of community-based tourism enterprise management in the four cases of community-based tourism enterprises was influenced by all seven factors, according to the concept of 7s McKinsey: 1) Strategy, 2) Organizational Structure, 3) System, 4) Style, 5) Staff, 6) Skills, and 7) Shared value.  Policy suggestions for the government derived from the research findings consisted of: 1) creating a center point or base for community-based tourism distributed in different provinces; 2) formulating a policy to promote community-based tourism focusing on promoting the strengths or distinctive identities of that communities or localities; and 3) cooperations of all relevant government organizations in planning the development of infrastructures and public utilities for supporting areas being promoted for community- based tourism.
