GUIDELINES FOR LIVING ACCORDING TO RIGHT LIVELIHOOD OF TOUR GUIDE IN CHIANGMAI PROVINCE

Abstract

          The objectives of the research were 1. to study the lifestyle of tour guides in Chiang Mai Province; 2. to study the life style of tour guides in Chiang Mai Province; and 3.to propose the guide's lifestyle guidelines in Chiang Mai Province. In-depth interviews were conducted with 14 tour guide as a focus group and descriptive analysis of the information was used. The results of research were found as following

1. The lifestyle of tour guides in Chiang Mai Province is special, because this profession requires knowledge and skills. They have lots of experiences; they are the social benefactors; and they always keep updating themselves
2. Living with the right livelihood of the tour guides in Chiang Mai Province is the same way as one of Buddhism and along with other supporting principles.
3. The lifestyle with the right livelihood of the tour guides in Chiang Mai Province is the application of the of Buddhist right livelihood and along with other supporting principles to obtain its efficiency
