Factors Affecting the Badminton Development towards the Level Potential of Badminton Players in Thailand

Abstract

          The purposes of this study were: 1) to study the demographic factors of badminton players on their potential levels in Thailand; and 2) to study the factors of badminton development affecting the potential levels of badminton players in Thailand. Data were collected by means of questionnaires. The sample consisted of 348 people. The statistics used in the research were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test (One-Way ANOVA) and Multiple Regression Analysis.

          The research showed that the opinions of badminton players towards the development of badminton in all 4 aspects with the overall were at a high level. With each consideration, the aspect highest mean was management. The aspect with the lowest mean at a high level was public relations. The results of the player opinions on potential of badminton players in all 4 aspects showed that the overall level was at a high level. With each consideration, the aspect with highest mean was acceptance from colleagues. The aspect with the lowest was a role model of society.

          The hypothesis testing results showed that the demographic factors of various badminton players had no difference in the average level of potential of badminton players, and at least one factor in development of badminton related and affected the potential of badminton players in Thailand.
