The Management of The Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District In Muang Phrae District, Phrae Province

Abstract

The objective of this article were to 1) To study Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District,  Phrae Province. 2) To study relationship between individuals and the study Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District , Phrae Province. and 3) to study a guideline to apply Path of Accomplishment to the Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District , Phrae Province.

Methodology used in this study is Mixed-Method Research, which is                     a quantitative research. Data was collected from 175 employees in Municipal District, Muang Phrae District, Phrae Province. Data was analyzed by using Frequency, Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation. Hypothesis was tested by  Chi-square. The significant level was set at 0.5 with qualitative research. Data was collected by 7 Key Informants using structured in depth interview. Data was analysis by descriptive interpretation.

Research Results are:

1) The overall Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District , Phrae Province is in high level. Management in each aspect is also in high level: Promotion, Coordination, Public Relation, and Campaign Organization, respectively.

2) Personal factor, gender, and age are related to Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District , Phrae Province. Therefore the hypothesis is accepted. Educational level, monthly income and experience are not related to Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District , Phrae Province.

3) Guideline to apply Path of Accomplishment in Management of the Five Precepts Conservation Village Project of Municipal District in Muang Phrae District , Phrae Province is as follows.

Coordination: Sub-district usually is in coordination to drive the project of Village of the Five Precepts in the sub-district to be more efficient, create moral motivation in work and perform the work with attentively, promote an aspiration to the personnel in working and always coordinate with related government sectors and private sectors.

Promotion: Sub-district promotes the compliance with the Five Percepts to personnel who devotes himself/herself to work intentionally.                 The promotion is done in the personnel level to the organization level accordingly.

Campaign Organization: Sub-district organizes the campaign to make people see the benefit of complying the Five Percepts, educate youths about being in compliance of the Five Percepts, organize a meeting with relevant authorities, including encourage Buddhists to be in compliance of the Five Percepts with happiness.

Public Relation: Sub-district municipality explains the process of participating in the project to people thoroughly; provide related public relation, information, and news to people, as well as finding the guideline to promote and doing public relation to be in conforming to this new era.
