The Moral and Ethical Promotion of Moral Teaching Monks to Youths in Khunhan District, Sisaket Provice

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province, 2) to compare the moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province, 3) to study problems, obstacles and suggestions about moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province. The researcher used the mixed method research as the quantitative research and qualitative research that collected the data from in-depth interview. The population as exampling group was the 1045 youths who are studying in the Secondary school of Kanthomwittayakom School and Khunhanwittayasan School as the sampling group by calculation of Taro Yamane at reliably tests at 0.05 from 290 students as the sampling group. The data analysis used the ready programme for research of social sciences. The researcher had the data analysis through frequencies, percentage, average, standard deviation(S.D) for describing data from variables or personal characteristics. The analysis was also done through t-test for analysis the hypotheses in order to test the average difference between the two groups and f- test by one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA) for testing at significantly statistic as 0.05.

The findings of this research as following:

  1. The youths had the opinions to moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province, was at good level in overall with an average = 4.24. When considered in each side, found that the ethical rolemodel, teaching role model, mindfulness role model, Moral cultivation role model and youth consciousness cultivation role model, were at good level.
  2. The finding the comparison the moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province, classified by personal data of the youths towards the result of education had the opinions to moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province differently as significantly statistic at 0.05. It accepted the hypothesis. But the differences of personal data of youths like sex, age, school and class level, it was not different.
  3. The suggestions about moral and ethical promotion of moral teaching monks to youths in Khunhan district, Sisaket province such as ethical role model, the moral teaching monks should distribute the mission to students or general laymen for going to the improper places. The teaching role model, the moral teaching monks should improve the teaching style and teaching method properly with the age, had the measurement and evaluation of teaching may use as the observation of students or evaluate by knowledge test and increase the other channels to expand the opportunity for teaching management such. And should create the value to students by focusing on knowledge and result of education or an average grade. The mindfulness role model, the moral teaching monk should evaluate the situation and risks for warning the mindfulness of youths for problem protection and should create the network to watch the youth behaviors by using the cooperation from the youths, the moral teaching monks should avoid blaming in the specific students in the public. The Moral cultivation role model, the moral teaching monks should create the network to work with youths related agencies And cooperate to work systematically and should improve the method to cultivate the morality perfectly both theory and practical. The youth consciousness cultivation role model, the moral teaching monk should arrange the activity for social services as the volunteer or public service mind for cultivate the youths to have the consciousness to the public by setting the activity out of schools with other schools for social network creation for the youths.
